- Rainy Season: Often from June till September, heavy to very heavy rainfall is witnessed in coastal Karnataka, Malenadu (Western Ghats) region. Rest of South Karnataka receives moderate to heavy rains in this period. North Karnataka region receives light to moderate rains.
- Winter season: October to February is probably the best season to explore Karnataka due to highly favorable weather. The weather is cool and comfortable. It’s perfect for sightseeing, wildlife safaris, and cultural festivals. Cities like Mysuru and Bengaluru are especially pleasant.
- Summer season: March to May will see a relatively hotter season in Karnataka. While hill stations remain cool and attractive destination in this season, central and North Karnataka region witnesses high to very high temperature, often discouraging outdoor exploration.
